Sometimes preparing for a career requires you to take a step back and brush up on skills that will help you to succeed in college.

For many students, it is not uncommon to begin in a pre-college level math, reading, or writing class before beginning college-level coursework. When students enroll at U-Matter CC, they begin with a placement test to evaluate their reading, writing, and math skills. This test, called COMPASS, determines the level at which you will begin your college education.
